Dear members:

Rural Community Alliance is launching a membership campaign to increase our member ranks to 1,000 by year-end.  We are a member-based organization and having more members will give us a more powerful voice to accomplish our mission.  Please accept my challenge to participate in the membership drive.  Our lifetime membership dues are $10 per person, or $5 per person if the school has a free/reduced lunch count of 70% or higher.  Student member dues are $2.  We also accept members who do not have a particular local chapter to join and add them as "Friends of Rural Community Alliance".  So anyone that has a "heart for rural" no matter where they live is fair game.

The contest begins today and all forms and fees must be mailed to me by December 31.  The person who signs up the most new members will receive a prize of one-night's stay at the Conway Hilton Garden Inn plus $50 cash.  Other prizes may be added.  If you would like to "sweeten the pot" and contribute a prize for the contest, please let me know.

Let's see how well we can network in our communities and across Arkansas to find new members to further the cause of helping rural school and communities survive and thrive.
